New Poem - THE FOX
A poem about an encounter between myself and a fox on a cold snowy night in Lausanne. It was magical seeing this beautiful animal watching me by the light of a city street lamp. Click HERE to read the poem
New Story - UNO THE MOON BEAR
Bear bile farming is becoming a thing of the past in Vietnam thanks to organisations like Animals Asia who rescue as many bears as they can from this cruel and inhumane practice. I was inspired by the true story of Uno's rescue and rehabilitation and it is my entry for this year's #50PreciousWords competition. Click HERE to read the story.

Christmas Tales 7
My story
AN OUTBACK CHRISTMAS has been included in the 2022 CHRISTMAS TALES 7: SHORT STORIES published by Storm Cloud Publishing! I'm so excited to get this story out there as it's based on the true story of a mob of emus who were banned from the Yaraka Pub in outback Queensland for their unruly behaviour! Click HERE for the link to the story. As a fun end of year activity, I read the story to my students and asked them to come up with a book cover . You can see some of the amazing results below!

“That’s the thing about books. They let you travel without moving your feet.”
-Jhumpa Lahiri

I acknowledge the Awabakal People, the traditional owners of the land we are on, and pay my respects to their elders past and present.
